PTA & Parent Forum
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A REGULAR MONTHLY DONATION, PLEASE USE THE FORMS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, THANK YOU.
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a formal organisation composed of the parents, guardians and carers of all children currently attending the school and all teachers and staff. Its aim is to advance the education of pupils in the school, in particular by:
- Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school; and
- Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
Fundraising is the main focus of our efforts but many of our events also have a social aspect, including our children's discos, family bingo evenings and providing refreshments at Sports Day and other school events.
The PTA holds an Annual General Meeting in October, and the committee meets once or twice a term. As a minimum, the committee needs to have a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary but the committee usually has a number of other members in addition. We are also fortunate to have a bank of willing volunteers who help out at events.
Each parent, guardian and carer becomes an automatic member of the PTA. We understand the busy lives that people lead, so you can participate as much or as little as you wish. Being active in the PTA (either as a committee member or by volunteering to help at events) is a great way to get to know other parents and your support will help us to raise vital funds for the school that can really make a difference to your child's education.
