Character Education
At Caldecote Primary School we are proud to have our 'Character Education' established, which provides opportunities to help pupils explore and express their character and build the life skills needed for resilience, empathy and employability.
We have carefully considered and implemented tasks which broaden pupils’ experiences beyond the formal curriculum by fostering the development of essential personal, emotional and social qualities. Character Education seeks to nurture pupils' attitudes, behaviours, and values in alignment with the school’s vision of being a happy, healthy, and high-achieving community. These provide opportunities for pupils to engage in experiences that promote self-reliance, empathy, and proactive citizenship, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We have designed a range of tasks which all pupils within the school will complete each academic year, alongside year-group specific tasks.
