Read it Again!

The school is taking part in the Cambridgeshire Library Service 'Read it Again' event.  We have 8 picture books that have been written by new authors i.e. they have never had a book published before.  All the children get a chance to read the books and then vote for their favourite.  Our votes will be counted along with those from 70 other primary schools and the author with the most votes will win a coveted award.  The award ceremony takes place in June and we hopefully will be able to take a group of children along to meet the authors and hear the result.

Our Year 5 children were fantastic 'teachers' when they shared the books with Year 2, asking probing questions and reading with lots of expression.  It was wonderful to see the enjoyment on all the children's faces and Miss Snelling had a tear in her eye to see how captivated they all were.  This is what makes our job all worthwhile!
